 Going Solar :  What you need to know

      With the increasing need for alternative, renewable forms of energy have you ever thought about what role you can play in this process?  We have heard about solar or voltaic power for some years now. But for the average home owner the extent of our solar usage and knowledge doesn't go any further than our solar garden lights.  I am not saying that isn't a good thing.   I myself noticed a decrease in the electric bill when I switched to a solar spot light for my flag poll.  

   But what if you could multiply those benefits to your entire home?  We have heard about and even seen panels on roofs for years.   The biggest draw back for consumers has been the high cost.  Even with government incentives it can be a hefty bill.  But things are changing and utilities along with the government are working even harder to make personal home solar possible for more residents.
